Additional important meanings

Mantra or powerful sound technique: In Yagyas Mantras are recited. A Mantra is a sound structure with a special meaning and direction of effect. They originate from Sanskrit and have a very high energy resonance. This resonance or special vibration has an effect on the person or situation for which the mantras are recited. It is like changing a special frequency or switch point to get the wanted results for the person or situation.

Sankalpam or cosmic address: Sound penetrates the whole universe and is therewith moving everywhere thru this universe. A person who will receive a Yagya will be affected thru this sound and vibrations like it was described above. To have this exact positive effect, the Vedic Science knows the technique of Sankalpam. In Sankalpam the positive effects of a Yagya and the mantras are individualised. The Vedic Pandit will recite the Name of a person or situation and some more necessary details from the horoscope. This is the so called Cosmic Address or CosmicSwift Code of a person which is unique, never changes, insures a instant connection and makes 100 % sure that all benefits will reach there. This is a very important part in the Science of Vedic Yagya. Now you will also understand how important it is that all the Vedic Pandits who are doing Jyotish and especially the Vedic Yagya are well trained and have studied well.

Donation or Dakshina: For the Yagya and Jyotish reading we give a donation or so called Dakshina. The Bhagavad Gita teaches us that to lead a life in balance it is of great importance to uphold and keep the principle of “giving and taking” in balance. Thru this all areas of life and nature will be nourished, can flourish and the circle of life or creation can be maintained. In nature we can see this principle in its perfection. A seed will grow up to a tree, will have fruits and they again will give rise to new seeds and so on. Especially in our society this part of Vedic knowledge is also a very great importance.

Homam or fire ceremony: In Homam the Vedic Pandits or the Host where a Yagya is performed, are offering special ingredients to the fire. Mantras are recited and therefore a very powerful energy is created. All persons who are attending this ceremony will be nourished, uplifted, transformed and the atmosphere will be purified. From beginning of time it is said that fire has transforming and purifying effects and here they are used for a special purpose which brings evolution for a person or situation. That is why the oldest of the Vedas, the Rig Veda begins the first stanza with fire = Agni.

“Agnim ile purohitam, Yagyasya deva ritvijam, hotaram ratna datamam”
Rig Veda, first stanza.
